Nic Awalt [they/them/any] is a South Shore based performing artist. Their theatrical education comes from Massasoit Community College where they have performed on their stage in roles such as Lamar in Godspell and Leigh Fondakowski in The Laramie Project. Other contemporary roles they have performed include Jack from Into The Woods, Jester from Jester: The Body, Ventures Forth (UCC Randolph) and Bunny from The House of Blue Leaves (Curtain Call Theatre).
Nic’s heart will always belong most to classical theatre, performing in plays such as Romeo and Juliet as Abram(Curtain Call Theatre), As You Like It as Phoebe (Massasoit Theatre Company), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream in which Nic has played Puck on two separate occasions (Massasoit Theatre Company and UCC Randolph). This love is what drove them to direct The Maenad Theatre Troupe’s production of Lysistrata, their directorial debut.
When they are not playing on the stage, Nic enjoys other creative outlets such as playing role-playing adventures, like Dungeons and Dragons, as well as playing the saxophone.
